    Medical Exercise and Post-Rehab Training

What is Medical Exercise and Post-Rehab Training?

Medical exercise and post-rehab training is the development and implementation of fitness programs for clients with special population and post-rehab conditions. These programs work towards increasing fitness, function and the overall health of the client. This type of programming does not provide any aspect of medical treatment of a client's condition. Some examples of what is encompassed in a post-rehab program are as follows:

    • Fitness Assessments

    • Strength Training

    • Flexibility Training

    • Cardiovascular Training

    • Functional Conditioning

    • Hypertension / Diabetes Fitness Training

    • Programming for older adults / Arthritis / Other Medical Conditions

    • Spinal Stabilization / Training

    • Post-Rehab For Musculoskeletal Injuries

    Who Pays For Post-Rehab Training?

Post-rehab training is not covered by OHIP or private insurance carriers under normal circumstances. However, in cases of long term/chronic conditions, major trauma or surgery and clients with limited function, an insurance carrier may be able to provide partial or complete coverage with a medical referral.
